BRET Projects

2001-2005: National Science Foundation: MCB-0114653: Arabidopsis 2010;. Bioluminescence resonance energy transfer (BRET): a tool to study protein-protein interactions in Arabidopsis. AG von Arnim and CH Johnson, Co-PIs.

Specific aims: (i) construction of gene expression vectors for BRET experiments in plants, (ii) development of experimental protocols for BRET in various subcellular compartments and cell types, (iii) application of BRET to the signaling networks of light and circadian clock regulated gene expression.

2006-2009: National Science Foundation: DBI-0619631: Development of a Bioluminescence Ratio Imaging Microscope (BRIM) to Visualize Biosensors for Signal Transduction Events in Living Cells in Real Time.
